Google ways to evaluate websites based on Panda update

Recent (2011) changes in Google algorithm reflect today’s ways people interact with website content. Simple backlinks building will not be useful in a long term anymore.  Ranking a website used to be relatively easy, the recipe was to build enough of relevant backlinks including ones from authority websites and after a while your website would climb up in search engine rankings.

Now we can clearly distinguish internet history  as before and after Google “Panda” update. It gets more difficult to search engines to evaluate your content and spider your website as the code becomes more complicated and many Java script websites are simply not spider readable.

Another factor is the duplicate content, taking quotes from another websites has became so popular that penalizing every quote does not make sense for search engines anymore.

Google’s new approach to ranking a website takes a major factor of human interaction. Things like Facebook and Twitter and whole Social Bookmarking  became platforms to share useful information between people and as such remain an indicator of the value of the information. People will tweet and link to the content that they recognize as relevant on given topic and Google takes that into account.

Even long established websites have been penalized due to lack of human interaction.

Now you HAVE TO have “share this” or “like this” buttons all over the place so your visitors can easily bookmark  and share your content thus creating a link.

Recent addition from Google is the “+1″ button, simply another way to help Google to evaluate  the usefulness of your content based on what people think about your efforts. Make sure you install it on your every post as well as other sharing gizmos.

People are generally lazy so the easier you make it for them to share your content the more often they will use this opportunity.

For a while now the content is not “the King” anymore from search engine’s point of view. Now you have to cater to the people, not the search engines. Ultimately they will have the most important voice in deciding what shows up in search results.

Still if you build new sites Google gives you a fair shot to encourage your visitors ad will keep displaying your pages for some time so user interaction has the time to establish. If after this time there is not many backlins to your pages in various social media then your website may get dropped  down for good.

You can be sure that if yo  make people happy you will make Google happy as well.
