Get Your Blog Indexed ASAP

There is several tactics for getting a blog indexed or for new content indexing. It’s not that difficult anymore as some may think.

Technically speaking a link to your website has to be accessed then followed by a search engine robot or spider.

To present your links to the spiders you need to put them where the spiders reside most of the time. The usual popular spots include among others:
-social networking sites
-active forums
-pinging services
-rss feed readers
-popular blogs and websites with daily updated content
-bookmarking websites, etc.

[warning]If your blog is brand new don’t try to index it right away, wait a couple of weeks and if your blog won’t get indexed naturally then take action.
Trying to create many links to your blog too soon can get your blog deindexed or in best case sandboxed by Google.[/warning]

One of the simplest ways to index your blog is to go to http://ismysiteindexed.com/ and submitting your site there. On the next page you will see a link saying something like:

“View the indexing status of yoursite.com” – Click on it.

On the next page you will see your current indexing status.

On the bottom of that page you will find about 20 links. Click on all of them (hold ctrl button and click with your mouse).

How does it work?

Those various websites provide tons of info on domains. If you submit a domain to them they will create a record in their databases and a web page corresponding with the domain you have entered. Those services get spidered frequently so your blog will get noticed.

The above tactic works for a main domain name. If you want to index a particular post or page on your blog then social networking sites and services like bookmarking and rss submission work best.

Here’s the video that explains some more details:

I’ve been using this service for over a year now for over 100 blogs now and I can honestly recommend it. When I started with this tactic I clicked all the links right after I have finished setting up my blog, but recently I do it after about 4 weeks. The blogs get naturally indexed by then but I do it anyway to make sure my website gets listed in those services. It has worked so far.
