Many of internet marketers heavily rely on backlinks to increase Page Rank as well as a traffic source. Link building is vital for SEO and for ranking the site the natural way.

You will find tons of tool online that help you find blogs to post on like a famous Comment Kahuna , its FREE and blows away many of the paid blog-finders. It’s been made for one purpose and it’s just great.

Owners of Comment Kahuna explain that it’s not really important whether your link is “do follow” or “no follow”. I totally agree with them. the spiders and robots indexing your pages very often index stuff that they theoretically not supposed to and that includes “no follow” links.

Even if you place an URL without a link on an trusted website it will be indexed and considered important.

So… Wolfman … where’s that “great tip” you promise in the title?

Here it is, and this is an exact quote of my friend who happens to be a true authority on the subject:

"I can tell you all these crazy methods of building links isn't necessary
and getting links from sites not related to yours is a waste of time."

I hope you got that! I wish he had told me that ages ago,  I probably would not believe him anyway back then, but now, my recent experience in  looking for expired domains confirms this theory 100%.

I have seen domains with 100 backlinks that did not have a slightest impact on the Page Rank. Possibly some of the backlinks were so highly irrelevant that they hurt the trust of the page.

So… Focus on Building the Backlinks only from the Sites RELATED to Yours!

These days it’s not the Page Rank that counts as main ranking factor.  The recent Google MayDay algorithm change is aimed to deliver the most highly relevant results and the freshest ones a the same time. These results should then be coming from  trusted sources with up to date content frequently updated.
